It's done (mostly)! Our chickens are now safe from the threat of hawks. The only predator they have to worry about being eaten by now is human. (No, there are no plans to serve Susan, Bulkhead, Alien or Ugghh for dinner...unless the grocery store shelves are empty and we're starving.) Justin and I finished putting up the chicken wire last Saturday. Did you know chickens know when it's time for bed? Every day at dusk they walk back into their little coop and huddle together in a corner all ready for sleep. Why aren't human babies born with that gene?
